Creation myths are all very interesting as impositions on the world - 'views' they are not. A view requires evidence.

I can't sleep. ;D I moved this to politics because I'd prefer this kind of thing stay here. As to the merits of this thread [or lack thereof] , I'm staying mum.

And yet we have evidence of things we cannot view.

And yet we have evidence of things we cannot view. A view as in seeing with your eyes is very different from a view as in a stance.

Evolutionary scientists proclaim that the Big Bang is absolute fact, yet no one was around to see it, nor is there real incontrovertible evidence for it. It's just a theory, and what's more, one that is supported just as much by faith in the Big Bang occuring a gadzillion years ago as YEC (young earth creationism) is by faith that God created the universe in 6 literal days and rested on the seventh.

I don't understand the desire to know what can't be known. Belief in God doesn't explain how God came to be and a giant explosion can't be explained without the existence of something to cause it. I have faith in neither, maybe less in science since it is for sale to the highest bidder. I do have faith that man is infinitely corruptible.

Science definitely has a lot of problems on that front...DON'T get me started. Ultimately, pursuit of knowledge of the unknown (be it origins or theoretical physics) comes down to faith. Atheists will vehemently deny this, but it's a fact. It's even true! ;D
