I'm most fond of the late rennaisance and early baroque periods myself. Everything from Gabrieli and Cabezon, to Frescobaldi, and even Pachabel. (Not that tacky fugue that is played to death, and isn't even really his though). !

I find Froberger really rocks on the clavichord - more so than Bach.

Yes, I love Froberger too, but a lot of his music is pretty challenging for me to play. I am but an amatuer.

I don't think I know enough about earlier music for the clavichord. The only recordings I have are of Bach and C.P.E. Bach. I do enjoy C.P.E. Bach, a lot of his sonatas are really good.

Well then, now is the time to start learning. Start "youtubing" some of those early composers. There is some great and hignly neglected stuff out there.
