Have you heard this recording and do you enjoy it? It is what originally turned me on to the clavichord. I was a big Jarrett fan and was collecting a lot of his solo improvisation recordings. I was immediately fascinated with the bends and vibratos that could be done on the instrument. I later found out he's actually playing two clavichords on this recording.

Haven't heard it. And I own a few Keith Jarret CDs. I've tried and tried, and I just can no longer get past his 'vocalizations'. Too bad because I like a lot of his music.

I can't recall hearing much of any of his usual vocalizations on Book of Ways, it is very subdued if present at all. Definitely check it out on youtube or amazon and see what you think. Some of the pieces sound baroque, others sound almost like medieval music (at least from a lay perspective), still others sound more modern.
