I know a lot of us followed Valentina Lisitsa's practice feed to some degree or another. I was wondering if anyone picked up anything new from it? I was simply amazed by the sheer quantity of music she has so seemingly ready in her fingers.

I had it on from time to time and thought, maybe if I were that relentless, I'd be pretty good too! She made me feel like I have ADD. (and maybe I do) I was also amused at how clumsily she played a (nocturne, I think) new piece to her rep. I guess I just expected her to sight read something of that relative ease, flawlessly.

Well, the easiest pieces can sometimes be the hardest...especially as one gets used to more difficult music. Ask me how I know! ;D

Well it's rather funny actually...I finished Chopin's Op. 28 No. 4 some time ago. It's not difficult technically—primary challenge is interpretative/musical—but I'm also working on the much livelier Debussy Doctor Gradus. I seriously have problems playing the Chopin cleanly after practicing Doctor Gradus.

I seriously have problems playing the Chopin cleanly after practicing Doctor Gradus. I don't think I've ever played anything cleanly in my life. Even in the easiest pieces some unfortunate mistake will occur.
